A dedicated community member, Shelley J. Langford has called Dinwiddie County home since 1987. She and her husband, Robbie, have raised two children, giving her valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of the local educational landscape. With a background in both sports coaching and business management, Shelley brings a unique blend of experiences to our advisory board.
In addition to her role as a coach for Dinwiddie Dixie Softball and Dixie Youth Baseball, Shelley has served as the Treasurer for Dinwiddie Babe Ruth and as the Booster Club Treasurer for Richmond Christian School. As the secretary, treasurer, office manager, and co-owner of a local mechanical engineering firm, Shelley is a strong advocate for independent thinking and believes in nurturing students to become critical thinkers.
William Curtis, an integral part of our advisory board, brings a deep connection to Dinwiddie County. As a proud graduate of Dinwiddie High School, class of 1983, he has continued to contribute to the community in various roles. Currently employed as the Sergeant of the Courthouse for Dinwiddie County, William and his wife Shelly reside in McKinney. Their long-standing ties to the community, combined with William's insight and experiences, make him an invaluable member of our advisory team.
Shelly Curtis, a Dinwiddie County native who graduated in the Dinwiddie High School class of 1990, has a strong background in working with special needs children. She currently serves the community as an employee of the Appomattox Regional Library System, based in Dinwiddie. With her husband William, she has raised two sons and actively participates in Big Bethel Baptist Church. Her commitment to education and her personal experiences bring a valuable perspective to our advisory board.
Page Bishop is a longtime resident of Dinwiddie, having called the county home since 1993. She has amassed over thirteen years of experience in restaurant management and has served as a caregiver to many children in the community for more than two decades. Her unwavering commitment to education is evident through her volunteering at Midway Elementary for over twenty-five years. Page is a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church and is deeply invested in bettering the state of education in the county and surrounding areas.
Klayton Nathaniel Bonner, a proud graduate of Dinwiddie High School's Class of 2010, brings a diverse background and a deep commitment to community service to our advisory board. Klayton holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Virginia State University (Class of 2015) and recently earned a Master of Science in Health and Physical Education from Longwood University in 2022. His academic journey reflects not only a passion for learning but also a dedication to the well-being and education of others.
Beyond his academic achievements, Klayton is a published children's author, reflecting his creative spirit and commitment to inspiring young minds. Married to his wife, Sabrina, and proud parent to their daughter Kellyann, Klayton values the importance of family and community.
What sets Klayton apart is his unwavering belief that he is part of a greater plan, a realization that has led him to actively contribute to projects yielding a positive impact. Being a member of this Advisory Board is, to him, a blessing, and he sees it as an opportunity to be involved in something meaningful. Klayton's love for helping and nurturing extends to his community, especially children and families. We look forward to benefiting from his unique perspective, diverse skill set, and genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.
